    Laura Day(Author)
Unlike the many other specialists who believe that you have to be born with a strong sixth sense, Laura Day proves that anyone, with practice, can become productively intuitive. In Practical Intuition, she shows how her students have used her techniques to unlock the remarkable powers of their minds. They use these techniques to aid in making decisions about every facet of their lives - and now you can, too.

""Practical Intuition very succinctly and clearly outlines how we can unlock a natural ability that we are all endowed with."--Deepak Chopra "Intuition isn't mystical. It's a sort of background sense of how things should work; it's facts hidden in the brain. Intuition is logic. Laura Day guides you step-by-step through a systematic approach to getting in touch with this important faculty." --Dr. James D. Watson, Nobel Laureate and codiscoverer of DNA "Laura Day is a remarkable woman with remarkable abilities, but for me, what is most remarkable about her is how she has taught me to believe in myself and my own intuition. . . . By creating a practical format like the one in this book, she teaches everyone to see how intuition works on all levels of our lives, and how we can take back our personal power." --Demi Moore"" Practical Intuition" very succinctly and clearly outlines how we can unlock a natural ability that we are all endowed with." --Deepak Chopra " Intuition isn't mystical. Review Text

the author "over eggs the pudding" with strong hints about her own and others pyschic abilities. However, the exercises included in the book are interesting explorations of how the human mind works and I believe the author probably has an unusual/greater intuitive understanding of this than most. Although her perspective is more practical & new age, than scientific or medical. She has recognised that most of us living in the modern world routinely suppress or ignore our intuitive feelings - and her recognition that this is almost always a mistake might be profound. The basic principle of the book is that we should learn to trust and develop our intuition. Her explanation that intuition is our body's way of expressing a sort of subconscious summary of many inputs from our senses, of which there are too many for us to process consciously, rings true. Don't dismiss this book out of hand, it provides some interesting & perhaps unique insights & ideas. Although the exercise-based format become a little tedious after a while, it does provide a practical demonstration of what the author has written.

Having bought this book on the strength of reviews, I was initially disappointed by the first exercises it contained as to my mind ` that's not going to be intuitive'. Fortunately I stayed with it and by the time I got to the exercise where I had to pick a winning horse in a race without even seeing the list of runners (can't tell you how amazing it was when I did it!) I realised this book was rather special. It simply leads you very gently from very basic steps to what I would call `real intuition'. If you decide to pick and choose through the exercises (tempting at the start) you will miss out on some great confidence boosters which will stand you in good stead when you get to the really challenging stuff. I have continued to build my intuitive skills after reading this book and agree with other reviewers on how good it is. Only minor quibbles, that rather severe cover and the inevitable but credibility threatening Hollywood endorsement. Having subsequently bought more of the author's work I would conclude that this is head and shoulders above the others.

Have you ever been plagued with indecision? Do you have questions that you must find answers to? And do you feel a certain way about something that is bothering you but cannot come up with a clear cut answer, but you know that the answer is within you? Here's a solution - buy this book! What I love about this book is that it is so do-able in that the exercises are practical and most of them are even snappy. The thought of poring over a book to discover what's within me is sometimes off-putting, depending upon my mood, but this book does not fall into the 'boring', long hours poring over category types; it's not a chore at all - and this coming from a shamefaced lazy git that I sometimes can be! I've used it several times when I've desperately needed answers and I've found them. I highly recommend this book and I thank the author for writing it. It is a blessing!
